Politicisation of Chamber of Commerce

When you analyse political issues in one country or one society, you have to check the activities and tendencies of the ruling class, especially lobbying organisations. In Hong Kong, it includes ''Opposition'' AmCham (American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong), ''Pro-Beijing'' The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce.

The Wall Street Journal is a member of ''Pro-Beijing'' The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. (a) And New York Times is a member of ''Opposition'' AmCham. Moreover, Taiwanese governmental organisation Taipei Economic and Cultural Office is surprisingly a member of ''Opposition'' AmCham. (b)

This proves both ''Pro-Beijing'' and ''Opposition'' General Chambers of Commerce are MNCs' tentacles, their political leverages, their political channels. Lobbying is its main activity but their member corporate media actually support cancellation or suspension of extradition bill.
