Gateway Sauna, Hong Kong.

Brief Summary:

  1. When I visited, people surrounding the lockers were old men. The first impression corresponded what some netizens reflected online.

  2. Although some netizens said that the gate to the gay sauna is difficult to find, it is easier to find near the Tai Tung Building, far easier than either Hutong Sauna or CE Sauna.

  3. Their TV program is TVB, yet the videos show a Japanese gay porno from KOVIDEO, which video label produced my ex-boyfriend's videos. This is the same with CE Sauna.

  4. Magazines are Japanese gay magazines and men's fashion ones.

  5. The ethnicity is not diverse than any other gay sauna in Hong Kong; that I only saw a white guy in the 50s and one Southern Asian gay man. The vast majority is old locals.

  6. There is no maze, which is same limitation with the CE Sauna. Dark cabins lack either beds or mirror walls. Thus, it is hard for a bottom to seek a good top.

  7. Their entry fee is relatively cheap.

  8. The main issue is as same as CE Sauna, that it is too small to accommodate active gays.

  9. The worst thing is that it is like an old man club.

  10. Besides the above reasons, I myself recently got the second dose of Mpox, thus I refrained from any sexual activities this time. Anyway, I could not find any suitable gay partner out there.

The rumor was correct. Most of the customers are indeed in their late 50s and 60s, and they are local.

The interior design and system are also similar to those at CE Sauna.

The location is easy to find.

Building directory signs with rainbow Gateway logo and Chinese text list offices and fitness studios in a narrow stairwell
Dim hallway with green spiral stair rail, orange doors, and a lit gateway sign on a white wall, quiet and industrial

The only thing I enjoyed here was the jacuzzi filled with warm, circulating water.

If you pay with an Octopus card, the entry fee is 150 HKD and an additional 50 HKD is charged.

This gay sauna isn't for me.

Maybe it is time to go to a gay bar, not any gay sauna.
